Question by : Student Loan IBR application was not like online calculator?
My husband applied for IBR repayment plan based on our AGI of 52000 and a family size of 3. He owes 41000 and I owe 38000. According to the Federal Student Loan IBR calculator his loans should be ~160 per month. When he applied the application results said his new payment would be 360 per month! We called and they said everything in their number was correct. This payment was higher than his previous payments using the Graduated Payment schedule and they will NOT let us switch back to our payment plan we had. What gives? What to do?

i dont have a chase account and i don’t have checks to send them in the mail and i tried calling and that didn’t work! i dont know if you can pay them online! please help!

Answer by exotherm1 The only way would be to keep calling their customer service. Have your account number and when they ask for it, give it to them and tell them the problem. Really, contacting customer service is the only way. If they cannot help you, demand to talk to to a supervisor or get a telephone number.
