Question by NMFROMM: Do you have to let student loan companies know what you are spending the loan on?
I want to pay off my current bills with a student loan, plus the extra costs of college, am I allowed to do this and will I have to give the lender an itinerary of expenses?
I would like to get a private student loan, with the check sent to me, would I have to let them know what I would be spending the money on or give them receipts? I would like to pay off my current bills (while making payments on the loan during school) so I don’t have to really worry about them now.

Question by sofia: What is a good website for independent students to find student loans?
Best answer:
Answer by NotAnyoneYouKnow Sofia:
It’s not clear what you mean by “independent” student?
I’m guessing that you mean that you’re young, but that your parents have told you that you’re on your own as far as paying for school, so you’re wondering where you’re going to find the money to afford it all.
Question by Braden Bernard: How do I go about obtaining independent student loans for college?
My parents refuse to sign parent plus loans so I need to get the loans in my own name. They should amount to less than $ 5k

Answer by Unknown You need to contact your schools financial aid office and tell them you want to take out a federal Stafford loan. Stafford loans require no cosigner and are entirely in YOUR name. Dependent freshman can borrow up to 5,500 a year.

Penn State Extension to Offer Farm Business Planning Class
University Park, PA (PRWEB) November 15, 2011
The New Year provides a good opportunity to look to the future and at what changes need to take place on the farm. The first step in making changes is to create a plan – to be used as a feasibility test for new agricultural ventures, as a management guide for established farms, and to apply for loans to expand or change what is being produced. Penn State Extension will be offering Your Future in Focus, a 5 session business planning class for Pennsylvania farmers and agricultural business owners. The course will focus on business plan development for established and start-up agricultural businesses, taking participants step by step through the information that bankers and other lenders want to know.

Question by Jay Cobbs: Which bank is the best for private student loans?
I am trying to apply for a private student loan because my Stafford loan won’t cover my entire semester. Which bank has the best fixed interest rate, and highest turn-over rate for accepting loans?
Thanks for any input!
I have a ready and willing co-signer that has a fantastic credit score and very stable employment, so getting a loan is not a problem. I would just like to know what bank is the best to go with for such a costly decision. Thanks again for helping!
